“Preserved upon the Allagan tomestone you received from Unukalhai was an extraordinary history─a detailed record of the battles fought between the eikon Sephirot and the armies of Allag. After feeding the account of this epic conflict into Azys Lla's verification systems, you have succeeded in activating what the node describes as a “combat simulation."
Can the enigmatic technology of the ancient empire truly manifest an enhanced simulacrum of the formidable Fiend? Can this artificial incarnation truly surpass the threat posed by the original Sephirot? There is but one way to know for certain...— In-game description
Containment Bay S1T7 (Extreme) is a level 60 trial introduced in patch 3.2 with Heavensward.
Strategy
The Fiend: Sephirot
Phase 1: 100% - 65%
- Triple Trial - A frontal cleave tank-buster. Cast frequently — ensure Sephirot is facing away from the rest of the party.
- Tifferet - Party-wide damage that must be healed through, as it can be used in rapid succession.
- Ein Sof - Sets of green circles that grow in size over time. Standing in these circles will gradually deal damage and inflict Vulnerability Up stacks.
- These will typically used to force the party to one half of the arena. Run to whichever half is free of AoEs.
- Fiendish Rage - A healer and a DPS will be marked with stack markers. Sephirot will leap to them one at a time, dealing damage and inflicting a Physical Vulnerability Up debuff.
- While running to the safe half of the arena to deal with Ein Sof, the healers and off-tank should move to one side while the DPS move to the other.
- Because of the debuff these stack markers give, the main tank should avoid joining a stack and instead stand between the two groups.
- Chesed - Hard-hitting tankbuster with no cast bar, only indicated by Sephirot slowly raising his arm. Tank should re-center the boss and face him away, as this attack is followed by Triple Trial.
- Ain - Sephirot will spawn one single Ein Sof circle. Seconds later, he will face a random party member and prepare a 180 degree cleave. This is always followed by Ratzon.
- When Ein Sof spawns, all players should stand between it and the boss, forcing the boss to aim their cleave in that direction and leaving the empty side of the arena safe.
- Ratzon - One party member is targeted with a large purple circle AoE while six are targeted with smaller green circles. The party must run behind Sephirot and spread out to avoid both Ain and each other.
- The purple circle can be placed either on top of Sephirot or at the edge of the arena, but should be decided prior.
- There is enough time for the group to run from the center of the arena to the edge before Ratzon hits.
- The purple circle can be placed either on top of Sephirot or at the edge of the arena, but should be decided prior.

Phase 1 Rotation: Ein Sof → Tifferet → Fiendish Rage → Tifferet x2 → Chesed & Triple Trial → Ein Sof → Tifferet Ain & Ratzon → Tifferet x2 → Chesed & Triple Trial → Repeat

Phase 2: Adds
Sephirot becomes untargetable and begins charging a limit break. The party must kill two Cochma and four sets of 3 Binah before Sephirot finishes charging.
When any enemy is killed, they will explode with Genesis, dealing unavoidable party-wide damage depending on which type died. Genesis deals
Unique damage, not magic damage.
- Cochma - A large enemy that deals strong physical damage. Casts Empty Hand, a physical damage attack that applies a stack of Magic Vulnerability Up.
- As Cochma only deal physical damage, one tank should focus on tanking only Cochma while the other takes all the smaller Binah.
- A second one will spawn immediately after the first one is killed. After killing this second Cochma, only Binah will remain.
- Upon dying, the Cochma explodes for ~10000
damage to the entire party. Try to time this enemies death as to not happen at the same time as other explosions.
- Binah - Small adds that repeatedly spawn in sets of three until the phase ends. Each set should be grabbed by the tank not dealing with Cochma.
- Groups occasionally cast Solid Stone simultaneously, a hard-hitting magic attack against the main enmity target.
- Magic Vulnerability Up causes magic attacks to deal additional damage proportional to max health. Even one stack could cause a single round of Solid Stone to result in a tank's death.
- Upon dying, they deal ~2000
damage each to the entire party. - Though only four groups of Binah are required to progress, more will spawn continuously if enemies are left alive too long.
- Groups occasionally cast Solid Stone simultaneously, a hard-hitting magic attack against the main enmity target.
Once all enemies are dead, Sephirot will grow massive and cast Ein Sof Ohr — dealing massive unavoidable damage to the entire party.
Phase 3: 65% - 0%
- Yesod - The ground will flash yellow. A few seconds later — giant stalagmites will pierce where players were standing during the flash, dealing damage and inflicting a Damage Down debuff.
- One the flash occurs, move away from where you and other players were standing. If you know this is coming ahead of time, grouping up prior makes dodging significantly easier.
- Force Field - Four party members receive Force Against Magic, which increases magic resistance but decreases physical resistance. The other four receive Force Against Might, which does the inverse.
- Gevurah & Chesed - Sephirot will damage half the arena with a green sphere (magic) and half with an orange sphere (physical).
- Be sure to stand with the sphere that matches the color of your debuff to avoid fatal damage. When no debuffs are present, this will deal moderate damage to the party.
- Fiendish Wail - Two towers will appear, one on each side of the arena. Sephirot will slam these towers for physical damage. If the tower is empty, the entire party will take massive damage and gain a stack of Vulnerability Up.
- At least one party member with Force Against Might must stand in each tower. At least one of the four party members should be on each side in preparation to prevent all four from standing in one tower.
- Five sets of towers will appear throughout the phase. Once the debuffs expire, the two tanks should handle the towers instead.
- Da'at (Tethered) - Sephirot will create five Ein Sof circles and tether the four people with Force Against Might. These tethers must be intercepted by the four players with Force Against Magic or else the others will take lethal magic damage.
- All four players with Force Against Magic should run directly under Sephirot to easily intercept tethers.
- Players with Force Against Might should find a safe spot on the left or right sides and prepare to stand in a tower the instant this attack ends.
- Da'at - When no debuffs are present, this simply deals heavy AoE damage to random party members — starting with a tankbuster on the main tank. Spread out when Sephirot's chest starts glowing blue.
- Earth Shaker - A healer and a DPS will get a marker above their heads as well as a proximity tether. After a few seconds, Sephirot will fire a Line AoE at the tethered players, dealing damage to them and any players inbetween.
- Damage to the tethered players is increased if they are too close to Sephirot. Tethered players must run far enough from Sephirot that their tethers transform into purple lines, indicating a safe distance.
- One tethered player should move to the left while the other moves to the right, leaving the center safe for the rest of the party. The party may still have to move backwards for safety.
- Pillar of Mercy - Sephirot slams the platform on the north, west, and then east side. Players need to stand close, but not inside, to the point of impact marked by a blue circle. These will knock all players away and cannot be resisted.
- Sephirot will use Yesod before the first slam and spawn two circles of Ein Sof to add difficulty. Don't move to the correct spot immediately to avoid Yesod being in the way, and aim yourself to not be knocked back into Ein Sof bubbles.
- One bubble of Ein Sof will disappear right before the third slam. Aim yourself to be knocked towards the larger of the two bubbles for the final knockback.
- Sephirot will use Yesod before the first slam and spawn two circles of Ein Sof to add difficulty. Don't move to the correct spot immediately to avoid Yesod being in the way, and aim yourself to not be knocked back into Ein Sof bubbles.
- Malkuth - Sephirot will lower his head and inflict a strong knockback. Group up near him or use knockback resistance. Spawns a Storm of Words afterwards.
- Storm of Words: An enemy that spawns on the south side of the platform. Starts slowly casting Revelation which, if finished, will knock all players off the platform. Must be killed as fast as possible.
- Four Binah spawn alongside this on the north side of the platform. Tanks should take two Binah each while the rest of the party deals with the Storm of Words.
- A set of towers will appear not long after these enemies spawn. Tanks should avoid getting distracted by the Storm and hold position by the tower spawn points until Fiendish Wail ends.
- Pillar of Severity: Used at the very end of the rotation — Sephirot drops their arms on the west side of the platform and attempts to sweep the entire party off.
- The Storm of Words must be dead prior to this attack to survive. A stack marker will appear on the Storm's corpse, which will launch all players standing on top into the air — safely above Sephirot's arms.
Phase 3 Rotation: Yesod → Force Field → Gevurah & Chesed → Fiendish Wail → Ein Sof & Da'at (Tethered) → Fiendish Wail → Gevurah & Chesed → Earthshaker & Yesod → Da'at → Fiendish Wail → Gevurah & Chesed → Pillar of Mercy x3 & Yesod & Ein Sof → Earth Shaker → Da'at & Yesod → Fiendish Wail → Gevurah & Chesed → Malkuth → Spawn Storm & Binah → Gevurah & Chesed → Fiendish Wail → Gevurah & Chesed → Yesod → Gevurah & Chesed → Pillar of Severity → Repeat
The enrage will be indicated by an unavoidable Pillar of Severity.

Dialogue
Sephirot: Pestilent northerners... You shall regret the decision to loosen my fetters! Sephirot: The equilibrium of life... I shall tip thy scales and partake of thy bounteous energy! Sephirot: Patience and penance... For millenia have I yearned to enact this vengeance! Sephirot: I am the end and the beginning! By my touch shall your wretched lives me blessed! Sephirot: You have dimmed my boundless light. What power of death do you mortals wield...? Sephirot: I am the incarnation of life! I cannot perish...cannot wither...
