Pugilist's Arms are weapons used by 
pugilists and 
monks. They consist of 2-handed dual fist weapons.

Lore
Many a master of the martial arts would argue that the purest form of combat is that which relies on naught but one’s fists. Many a student of the same arts, however, would assert that a broken fist will earn one no victories. As such, pugilists and brawlers have ever sought to protect their weapons of choice from wear and tear by swaddling the more delicate areas—the joints and the knuckles—in all manner of fur, leathers and cloth.
And while a fist can be deadly, a fist bedecked with studs and spikes can prove deadlier still. It was this notion that saw the rise of supplemental claws and knuckles that could be fastened to a hand to serve as an extension of the fist. From simple wooden handles fitted with the talons of raptors to ornately decorated gauntlets hiding retractable blades forged from cobalt and adamant, in every age can one find a panoply of weaponry used to provide the upper hand in a not-so-gentlemanly bout of fisticuffs.
Prominent Designs
Knuckles
By merely adding a layer of metal over one's knuckles, a punching lance can, at once, become a savage blow. Add sharpened knobs or pointed spikes to the metal and the blow becomes lethal.
Cesti
In the early days of the Coliseum, pugilists were allowed to wrap their fists with thin strips of leather, protecting them from being lacerated when striking tooth or bone. Later, the fighters would take to adding grips to prevent slippage, and metal bars beneath the straps to enhance lethality.
Claws
Finding inspiration in the talons of beast and bird, man sought to grant himself the ability to rake and slash. This created the deadly category of weapons that would come to be known simply as “claws”.
Baghnakhs
A favored weapon of Amalj'aa brawlers, it is believed that these claws are designed to resemble those of a mighty drake. Baghnakhs of Ul'dah have since adapted the design of the baghnakh to better fit the comparatively diminutive hand of the Hyur race.
Jamadhars
In the modern era, there are more than a few who would argue that the typical jamadhar is too unwieldy to be used effectively in combat. However, when placed in the hands of a skilled pugilist, the weapon can be used to deliver swift and brutal strikes.
Patas
An Eorzean adaptation of the Near Eastern machete featuring twin blades fastened to a brass knuckle-guarding grip. Recent advancements in modern metallurgy have seen the once-bulky blade trimmed to a fraction of the width found on earlier models, all without sacrificing potency or durability.
Thavnairian Katars
These traditional blades commonly used by Hannish foot soldiers are not, in fact, actual katars—a Thavnairian word that translates to “short sword ”—but jamadhars. The misnomer took root in Eorzea as the result of a mistake made during the Great Gubal Library's transcription of a Near Eastern compendium on weaponry, the curator accidentally misappropriating lines from an entry on jamadhars to the entry on katars.
Glanzfaust
A slave to his many vices, weaponsmith Gerolt Blackthorn will frequently visit pits to partake in a friendly wager or two. He was during one of these visits that he witnessed several bouts featuring a young fistfighter named Dalha—all of which the Roegadyn lost in pitiful fashion. Taking pity upon the boy (after losing several thousand of his own gil), Gerolt gifted him with a custom-made pair of metal knuckles. Three moons later, Dalha had won thirty matches straight and was crowned champion.
Storm Officer's Hooks
Celebrating their pirate heritage, the Maelstrom designed these weapons to resemble the hook used by the infamous Denkyrtrach the Seahawk. His ship seized by means of treachery, Denkyrtrach’s captor spared the pirate, instead taking his sword hand and leaving him to die on an unmanned island in the Cieldalaes. Fortune, however, would smile on the grizzled captain and he was soon rescued. Upon his return to Limsa Lominsa, the Seahawk promptly visited a smith and had himself made a hook of silver to replace his lost limb. Two moons later, the hook found the heart of the man who took Denkyrtrach’s hand, and the rest is history.
Jikki
Named for the hermit monk who spent more than six and sixty years upon a solitary island in the Ruby Sea perfecting his unique style of hand-to-hand combat, the Jikki are designed to be effective against the slashing blows and swift thrusts of the katana. When tied at the proper angles, they can deflect even the widest of cuts, leaving the victim open to a devastating counter.
Senju
Their name meaning “a thousand hands,” these durable claws are not only deadly, but aid their wearers (most often ninjas from Doma and beyond) in countless other ways including, but not limited to, the climbing of ramparts or castle walls, the picking of locks, or even the forging of missives.
Avengers
The establishment of the Grand Companies— while beneficial to Eorzea’s safety—caused many a headache for the land’s weaponsmiths, as a great quantity of high-quality Company-issued weaponry began passing into the hands of adventurers and mercenaries the realm over, significantly reducing the demand for privately forged blades, spears, and knuckles. The radical design of the aether-assisted Avengers was conceived by smithies in an attempt to recapture the public’s attention.
Kaiser Knuckles
“When cataclysm loomed over the Near East, the hero Mirza arose to defend the people from fell fiends. Once he had torn the monsters apart, he raised a mighty empire—and fashioned a pair of weapons such as these from his foes? claws!”

Acantha Shavers
Conceived by Ala Mhigan blacksmith Ach Deepforge, these exotic knuckles of brilliant brass wrap around not only the fist but the forearm as well, promoting the flow of chakra energies from the wielder into his target.
Hellish Claws
The Sons of Saint Coinach have concluded that this pair of metal gloves discovered on the north shore of Silvertear Lake were an archaic form of weaponry employed by Allagan mages who required their hands free to weave their magick. Research also revealed that they may have been created from the fangs of creatures summoned from the void.
Sudarshana Chakra
Discovered hidden beneath a stone in a meditation chamber carved at the cliff enveloping Rhalgr's Reach, these impressive knuckles were one of few monastic relics to have survived the destruction wrought by the mad king Theodoric during his purge of the Fist of Rhalgr. They have since been returned to Widargelt the Watcher and are once again among the monks they were once meant to protect. [1]
