Base Splendorous Tools can be upgraded to Augmented Splendorous Tools by crafting or gathering  collectables, handing them in to Quinnana for "components", and handing those in to Chora-Zoi.

Your current Splendorous Tool must be equipped when crafting the required items.

Craft 20 of the first-tier tool-specific collectables  at maximum collectability and trade them to Quinnana to receive 60 splendorous components. Give these to Chora-Zoi to complete the first upgrade.

• Each craft requires 1x of an item that can be bought from the Scrip Exchange for  25 Purple Crafters' Scrips, or from the Market Board.
  • In best case (20 crafts), this costs a total of  500.
  • In worst case (60 crafts), this costs a total of  1,500.

• Note: The   Almasty Fur and   Petalouda Scales are monster parts that cannot be gathered by Miner or Botanist. They can be collected in bulk from sending a combat Retainer on Hunting ventures, or bought in bulk from Gemstone Traders for Bicolor Gemstones.

Botanist and Miner

Your current Splendorous Tool must be equipped when gathering at the specified gathering points.

Gather 60 of the first-tier tool-specific collectables  at maximum collectability and trade them to Quinnana to receive 180 splendorous components. Give these to Chora-Zoi to complete the first upgrade.

You will also require 180 hidden items (  Splendorous Water Shard or   Splendorous Earth Shard) located at the same nodes the collectables  are.

• Note: These are not considered "elemental shards" despite the name and appearance, so   The Twelve's Bounty and The Giving Land do not work. Regular yield-increasing skills such as   King's Yield or   Blessed Harvest should work, though.

Fisher

Your current Splendorous Tool must be equipped when fishing, and you must use   Select Bait Ball as bait.

•   Select Bait Balls can be purchased from Quinnana in the Crystarium (X:10.4, Y:7.7) for  2 each.

Catch 30 of each of the first-tier tool-specific collectables  at maximum collectability and trade them to Quinnana to receive 60 of each of the splendorous components. Give these to Chora-Zoi to complete the first upgrade.
