Augmented Dragonsung Tools can be upgraded to Skysung Tools by crafting  collectables (for crafters) or gathering materials (for gatherers), handing them in to Denys for class-specific "gobbiegoo", and then handing those in to Nimie.

Requirements

• Quest: The Tools of Tomorrow
• Disciple of the Hand or Land level 80
• Starting NPC: Nimie
• Starting Location: Foundation (X:7.9 Y:10.6)
• Prerequisite: Players must first complete the quest Ever Skyward

• 105 pots of class-specific Highly Viscous Gobbiegoo are required to upgrade each tool
• Note that each "Gobbiegoo" is specific to the class you craft it with.
• The currency item can be bought from the Market Board or via the Scrip Exchange for  20 Purple Crafters' Scrips or  20 Skybuilder's Scrip each.

Notes:

• The Sea Swallow Skins are monster parts that cannot be gathered by Miner or Botanist. They can be collected in bulk from sending a combat Retainer on Hunting ventures, or bought in bulk from Gemstone Traders for Bicolor Gemstones.
• The Ala Mhigan Salt Crystal is from a timed Unspoiled Node in The Lochs.

Disciple of Land (DoL)

• Upgrading from Augmented Dragonsung Tools to Skysung Tools is done via gathering of specific items.
  • This used to be harder as the items formerly had to be  High Quality, but HQ gathering was removed in patch 6.0.
• For this step, you must equip the relic tool in order to gather the items.
• 60 pots of class-specific Highly Viscous Gobbiegoo are required to upgrade each tool.
• 10 items will give 1 pot of Highly Viscous Gobbiegoo.

Reward
Highly Viscous Miner's Gobbiegoo, Highly Viscous Botanist's Gobbiegoo, Highly Viscous Fisher's Gobbiegoo

• In addition, for miner and botanist a "hidden" item (not present on every node) will need to be turned in also.

For Fisher:

• Only 7 pots of Highly Viscous Gobbiegoo are required. 10 items will give 1 pot of Gobbiegoo.
• Remember to equip the Augmented Dragonsung Fishing Rod and use Signature Skyball as bait.
• Allagan Hunter is a !! bite at around 10-14s. Any earlier !! bite is a Bullwhip and should be Rested instead.
  • Alternatively, Surface Slap a Bullwhip to guarantee Allagan Hunter on the next !! bite, then use Double Hook or Triple Hook.
  • Optionally, use Identical Cast after the "blind" double/triple hook, then use double/triple hook again. This costs a lot of GP and will require cordials and/or waiting for GP to regenerate, though.
• 900 GP base with 150 GP smuggled strategy (catches 6 Allagan Hunter per cycle)
  • 1) If no Angler's Art stacks are available, use Prize Catch.
  • 2) Wait for GP to recover to at least 900. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 3) Use Triple Hook on the next !! bite that happens around 10-14s to catch 3x large-sized Allagan Hunter, earning 3 Angler's Art stacks.
    • If 7x Bullwhip are caught instead, this is fine as 7 Angler's Art stacks are gained. Surface Slap it and continue at step 5.
  • 4) Quickly use Thaliak's Favor to recover 150 GP, then use Identical Cast.
  • 5) Wait for GP to recover to at least 700. Use any cordials that come off cooldown during this time.
  • 6) Use Triple Hook to catch 3x Allagan Hunter.
  • Repeat from step 1.
