The Trust System is a feature introduced in Shadowbringers (5.0). This system allows you to challenge dungeons from main scenario quests with a party of allied NPCs.

Parties must be composed of 1 tank, 1 healer, and 2 DPS. This feature cannot be used while in a party with other players.

Using the Trust System

Entering dungeons for the first time

After reaching the quest objective to clear a dungeon in the main scenario, several allied NPCs will be standing near the dungeon's entrance. Speak with them, and you will have the option to add them to your party and enter the dungeon.

Revisiting dungeons

The Trust system can be used to enter dungeons you have already completed. First, select Trust under Duty in the main menu. In the window that appears, select the dungeon you wish to enter and the NPCs to accompany you.

After the Main Story Quests

After completing the main story quests the Trust system changes to allow you to level up the allied NPCs from level 71. Allied NPCs gain EXP from these Duties according to the following table

Duty Level EXP
Holminster Switch 71 6,250,000
Dohn Mheg 73 7,975,000
The Qitana Ravel 75 9,900,000
Malikah's Well 77 12,025,000
Mt. Gulg 79 14,350,000
Amaurot 80 0

Allied NPCs

Alphinaud - Healer - Academician (similar to Scholar but with an unique carbuncle instead of fairies)
Alisaie - Ranged Magical DPS - Red Mage
Thancred - Tank - Gunbreaker
Urianger - Healer - Astrologian
Y'shtola - Ranged Magical DPS - Sorceress (similar to Black Mage with a wider selection of elemental spells)
Ryne - Melee Physical DPS - Oracle of Light (Rogue abilities)

For the first-time run of Holminster Switch, players can also choose the Crystal Exarch (All-Rounder, Paladin, White Mage or Black Mage) and Lyna Dancer.

Official Description

In Shadowbringers, players will have the opportunity to challenge dungeons with a party of trusted non-player characters, including various Scions of the Seventh Dawn—though the traditional party matching systems will of course remain intact.
