The weather will be Tension.png Tension in all Black Shroud zones while the FATE is up. Note that the FATE will only be visible on the minimap and not on the main map of the area.

The FATE appears once every few days. When Odin spawns the entire zone will have a dark, foggy and stormy quality called Tension.

  • Odin will take the appearance of the last person who has landed the killing blow on him.

Attacks


Gungnir - Circular AoE indicator appears on ground. Gungnir appears in the circle and all players inside of it are bound and are dealt damage over time. Odin is invulnerable to damage while performing the ability.

Einherjar - deals massive AoE damage to all players within the large circular indicator around Odin.

Hall of Lead - Slow icon1.png Slows all players around Odin

Hall of Sorrow -

Hall of Stone - Deals the debuff Physical vulnerability up icon1.png Physical Vulnerability Up and Petrification icon1.png Petrification to all players around Odin.

Valknut - Deals AoE damage to all players in a small circle around Odin.

Zantetsuken - Odin uses the ability towards the end of the battle at around 1 to 5% HP. Zantetsuken has 30 second cast time. At the end of casting all players participating in the Odin FATE will be killed instantly. Players should use all of their damage dealing cooldowns and Limit Breaks on Odin when he begins to cast this.

Rewards

The rewards listed are for completing the FATE with a Gold rating. Rating is based on the total enmity produced by a person's party and can be difficult to obtain solo.

Trivia

Before being pulled, Odin will not have his helmet on and will take the appearance of the last player who killed him in this FATE. The first time this FATE spawns in a newly created world (server), he appears as a male Duskwight Elezen. Odin will also always have this appearance before he is pulled in Trial Urth's Fount.

Historical

Odin's level was fixed to 50 in patch 6.3. This was done to compensate for an unexpected increase in difficulty due to the patch 6.0 stat squish. Prior to that the sync was level 70.
