The Head, the Tail, the Whole Damned Thing is a level 80 Kill Boss FATE, and one of two Boss FATEs in the Shadowbringers expansion. In this FATE, players must defeat Archaeotania. This FATE does not appear on your map, and flying is required to get to it.

Prerequisites

In order for The Head, the Tail, the Whole Damned Thing to spawn, players must complete the following FATE chain:

1. Where Has the Dagon (x23.2, y22.8)
2. Ondo of Blood (x28.8, y12.6)
3. Lookin' Back on the Track (x24.2, y17.9)
4. Coral Support (x35.3, y9.5)
5. Low Coral Fiber (x36.1, y5.3)
   • There is a chance the chain will reset after completing this FATE. The chain will always reset if Archaeotania is still on cooldown.
6. Nothing Like A Trappin' Life (x26.9, y24.7)
