This battle exercise will test your ability to manage multiple parties of enemies.

Learn to draw single targets from groups using ranged attacks and engage them in locations far out of the lines of sight of other creatures.

— In-game description

Basic Training: Enemy Parties is a level 10 guildhest introduced in patch 2.0. It intends to teach basic group mechanics.

Objective

Slay all the enemies, but stay out of the goobbue's sight!

Enemies in parties will all attack at once. Try to avoid engaging more than one party at a time by keeping an eye out for knockback attacks which may thrust you into a second party's line of sight. If the goobbue spots you, he will order all the other enemies to attack. Use ranged attacks to lure single targets from the pack without the massive seedkin noticing. This battle exercise will test your ability to manage multiple parties of enemies. Learn to draw single targets from groups using ranged attacks and engage them in locations far out of the lines of sight of other creatures.

Guide

Players are required to defeat 4 groups of 3 Tiny Mandragoras, Pecking Condor and one Elder Goobbue.

When you attack one of the Tiny Mondragora in a pack, the other 2 will assist its friend. Your party is intended to fight 1 group or 3 Tiny Mandragoras at a time, and keep that pack from the other groups. After defeating the 4 groups of Mandragoras, You'll be able to take on the Elder Goobbue.

The Goobbue fight is straightforward as long as you have your tank maintain its aggro. Defeat the smaller adds first before directing damage to the Goobbue.

In most Duty Finder groups, the tank will simply pull all enemy groups at once, as they die quickly and don't deal a lot of damage.

Historically, when A Realm Reborn launched, TP and MP management were much more involved and classes and jobs could not spam their area-of-effect attacks constantly. Wall-to-wall pulling as is done since at least Shadowbringers was not feasible at the time.

When talking to Tiroro

I can't think of a single reason why you should be over here when the things what need guttin' sit over there. Unless that is, you're fixin' to bolt.
Abandon current duty? Yes/No
Are you certain? Absolutely/No
Steady there! Only a fool with a death wish would engage both parties at once!
Don't be so bloody eager to march headlong into peril! Try luring the beasts away from the goobbue without alarming the mossy lout.
The goobbue has seen you and alerted his scrags! Slay as many as you can before jumpin' in bed with the giant, or you won't survive another bell!
Might be I was mistaken about you all. I'd say your chances of victory are a notch above dismal.
You've come this far, now finish him!

After defeating the Elder Goobbue

Done, are we?
Then haul your bloody arses over here so's we can leave this awful place!
Hah hah hah! A fine display for a first-timer. Here's your well-earned coin. I've tossed in a little somethin' extra to sweeten the deal, so's that you might consider comin' back.
