A Midlander of thirty-seven years, Redwald commands the garrison at Falcon's Nest. As a man raised to knighthood for his feats as a soldier and not for his blood, he is oft critical of the squabbles betwixt the High Houses—for such disputes all too often imperil those on the front lines. Redwald is said to be unusually close companions with Lord Drillemont, another in the service of House Durendaire.
