Valentione's Day (2023) is a seasonal event that took place from February 1, 2023 to February 15, 2023.

Requirements

Activities

  • To start the event, speak to Lisette de Valentione in Old Gridania (x10.2,y9.4) to start the quest Suited for Affection.
  • Completing the quest grants you access to an additional event. Talk to the "House Valentione's Servant" to enter the "Valentione's Ceremony" challenge.

Valentione's Ceremony challenge

This is an event for two players: You can either enter as a party of two or solo, in the latter case you will be matched up with another player.

The event unfolds in two phases.

  • In the firstt phase, you are tethered to each other while each of you passes through a maze.
    • Getting too far apart interrupts the tether and counts affinity down.
    • Getting hit by a moogle AE will stun the affected player and reduce affinity.
    • Each of the two mazes has gates, a gate for one player in their maze is opened by the other player in stepping on a round platform in their maze.
  • In the second phase, you play a game of memory together. In every round each player turns any of the not yet resolved cards.

There are no obvious rewards for completing the challenge, it seems to be purely for entertainment.
