“"Where the hells would the tracks even go?"
Apprentice to Magnus, this budding engineer lost his parents at an early age, but has been helped along by the neighboring Motplowe family these twenty-four summers. He got on especially well with their boy Jeryk, even coming to share his interest in the trolley.
Though he previously was forced to mine the meager local supply of ore and apply his unusual talent for scrubbing laundry to make ends meet, Thaffe has recently been able to focus on more mechanical work. At times he feels overwhelmed by his friend's passion for all things trolley, and the pair are frequently at loggerheads over the optimal size of such a vehicle—Thaffe preferring the sensibly compact. Still, he is happy so long as his nearest and dearest in Twine are content.
