Journal
- Alphinaud wishes to have a word with you.
- Wanting to set your comrades at ease and inform them of the present situation, Alphinaud asks you to return to the Source. Readily obliging, you set off for the Rising Stones.
- Setting foot once more in Dawn's Respite, you are greeted by a relieved Tataru. As you recount your time in the Fourth to your fellow Scions, at least one is eager to join you there, but due to the unpredictable nature of the teleportation magick, it is decided that those in the Source should remain for now. With your comrades holding down the fort, it falls to you to seek out new avenues of inquiry in the Fourth when the time comes.
- Your visit to the Fourth has given you a glimpse of the adventure to come, and your heart races as you imagine what may await. Where in that icy world are Calyx and Halmarut, and what do they now plot? What manner of individual is the Winterer there? The answers to these questions and more, you hope to discover when Glaðr finally reaches its destination, the realmship Naglfar.

Dialogue
Optional dialogue
I know not what these realmships are like, but so long as I'm not confined to a cramped cabin, the journey should be pleasant enough.
The fire crystals you set will hasten the isle's thawing. Not by much, mind, but it's better than doing nothing.
While the ship is towing the isle, we can't readily move between them. Which is to say, you'll have to remain here until we get to the mother ship.
Accepting the quest
Now then... I have been told that the voyage to Naglfar will take a not-inconsiderable amount of time.
Since we can do naught to change that, there is something I wish to ask of you, Forename.
Would you return to the Rising Stones, and inform everyone that Estinien and I are hale? And of course, share all that we have learned from Visna.
A sound plan. 'Twould not do to leave Tataru anxious, after all.
No indeed, my friend. No indeed.
Lastly, tell our friends this...
We shall do and learn all that we can here. And once we have accomplished our task, we shall return. This we swear.
Thank you. With you to connect us and our comrades, never will we be far apart.
Godsspeed, Forename.
End of cutscene.
Optional dialogue
There are no thralls to be seen, so worry not for us. Be at ease on your way.
However long this voyage may take, I can always while away the time in training.
So you're the only who can return home? Unconventional teleportation magick indeed...
I'd like to pitch a tent, but the stakes won't pierce the ground until the ice has thawed some more...
Speak with Tataru in Dawn's Respite.
Forename, you're back!
Alphinaud and Estinien are safe, I hope?
They are? Oh, thank the Twelve...
Just now, we decided to have a short recess, but I'll call everyone back at once!
They'll all be so relieved!
Wait for your comrades to reconvene?
That is quite a tale... As you disappeared in the same manner as before, we suspected the incantation was successful.
We didn't expect Alphinaud and Estinien to be taken with you, however.
So... This means I can go too, yes?
No more! Please, no more!
We haven't even determined how Alphinaud and Estinien can return. This is not a power to be invoked lightly.
Krile has the right of it. A single misstep, and we may all end up stranded in the Fourth.
And given the entirely different circumstances, spirit vessels would avail us naught.
So let us be patient, Alisaie, and think of other ways to help.
Alright, alright. I'll do what I can here.
Alphinaud and Estinien can look after themselves, I know, but keep an eye on them, will you?
If you wish to keep busy, perhaps you might join me?
I intend to visit the Ninth to see if there have been any developments following recent events. While there, I also hope to treat those in Treno and elsewhere who suffer from levin sickness.
I'd be glad to come along. I'll teach you everything you need to know about porxies.
I shall return to the moon. As the one who opened the voidgate, I should rightly keep a weather eye on it.
Then I will take myself around to assess voidsent activity and see if aught unusual is afoot.
Should you require extra feet on the ground, then ours are at your disposal.
They'd be most welcome. We'll discuss the details anon.
'Twould behoove us to delve into the nature of the star. In unraveling new mysteries might we find the knowledge to forestall the Solstice.
Agreed.
What will you say?
I leave it in your capable hands!
We shall endeavor not to disappoint.
Don't overdo it, you hear?
You as well, my friend.
Glaðr, was it?
I hope it gets to the mother ship swiftly!
Credits play.
End of cutscene.
Speak with Tataru again.
The tea has warmed you up, I hope? It sounds terribly cold in the Fourth...
When Lord Haurchefant welcomed us at the “Falling Snows,” he'd served us hot beverages too.
He was a kind and caring man who warmed the hearts of those around him. In my own way, I strive to be such a presence to you all.
And so, in that spirit, I've prepared a set of warm clothes for you to wear in the Fourth!
I'll also make sure Dawn's Respite is always accessible, so you can make the journey at any time.
Now, there's of course no knowing when Glaðr will arrive without checking beyond...
But when it comes time for you to go forth in earnest, do remember to say a word! If you simply disappeared, I'd be most cross!
Calyx falls from a dimensional rift.
You are doing this on purpose...
It appears the Warrior of Light has arrived with two of her/his comrades.
What possessed you to go so far as to invite her/him to the Fourth?
There is something I would ascertain.
...Many things.
Have I violated the Winterers' covenant?
No, you have not... This was doubtless but a part of fate's grand design.
Besides, while the warrior and her/his comrades do not act to forestall the Solstice, you would not knowingly aid them—unless you had a compelling reason.
Nevertheless, had you shared your intentions beforehand, I might have offered my cooperation. It would have been more efficient—and spared me the shock.
Cooperation...
I wonder if you would say the same were it not the Fourth. For you are bound to this world, are you not, Halmarut?
Or would you prefer being called by your true name here?
Though my motives may differ from that of Lahabrea and the other unsundered, my objective remains the same—the Rejoining. Halmarut will suffice.
Always so cold here...
It almost brings one to tears...
Farewell to Dawn's resplendent glow,
now lost behind a veil of snow.
now lost behind a veil of snow.
As Winter's Wail greets evry ear
and bids the Wanderer draw near...
and bids the Wanderer draw near...
End of cutscene.
