Swiftcast is an action unlocked at level 18. It is available for Magical Ranged DPS and Healer.

Related traits

Recast time is 60s prior to learning the Enhanced Swiftcast trait.
On Red Mage, If Acceleration, Dualcast, and Swiftcast are active at the same time, then Acceleration will be consumed first, followed by Dualcast, and finally Swiftcast.
It is common to use Swiftcast on a resurrect spell, to skip their long cast times.
- Alternatively, using it on spells with relatively long cast times can result in a slight damage gain. Some examples include: Flare, Verthunder, Scatter, Ruby Ruin, Slipstream.

Patch 7.0 (2024-07-02): Recast time has been reduced to 40 seconds upon learning the Enhanced Swiftcast trait.
Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02): Now acquired at level 18 (previously level 32).
Patch 4.3 (2018-05-22): Fixed an issue wherein Swiftcast would be consumed by spells already made instant by another effect.
