Miss Typhon is a stage in The Masked Carnivale for Blue Mage, introduced in patch 4.5 with Stormblood.
Act 1
Enemies
Typhon
- Endurance: Above Average
- Strengths: --
- Weaknesses: --
- Vulnerabilities: --
Strategy
Use Diamondback to tank Typhon's Snort and Fireballs combo. Or use Mighty Guard and Surecast during the Snort cast then heal during fireballs.
Use Whistle if you have it or Bristle if not, Off-guard, and Moon Flute to buff yourself and Final Sting will one-shot Typhon. You might need to damage her health to 80%-90% depending on your gear/buff food.
Act 2
Enemies
Ultros
- Endurance: High
- Strengths: --
- Weaknesses: Fire
- Vulnerabilities: Interrupt
Strategy
Interrupt Ultros' Imp Song so you don't get turned into an Imp for 10 seconds.
Since Ultros is vulnerable to fire you can buff yourself with Toad Oil, Bristle, Off-guard, and Moon Flute to one-shot Ultros with Self-destruct.
Act 3
Enemies
Typhon
- Endurance: Above Average
- Strengths: --
- Weaknesses: --
- Vulnerabilities: --
Ultros
- Endurance: High
- Strengths: --
- Weaknesses: Fire
- Vulnerabilities: Interrupt
Strategy
Even though Ultros appears in this act after Typhon's Snort-Fireball combo, this act can be completed by defeating only Typhon. Therefore, you should burn through Typhon's health as fast as possible.
Similar to Act 1, you can use Bristle, Off-guard, and Moon Flute to buff yourself and Final Sting should one-shot Typhon. This strategy will not work if you still have the Brush with Death debuff from using Final Sting or Self-destruct in either or both of the previous acts.
