“"My 'feminine wiles'? I'm a soldier. Hardly the sort that has secret admirers."
Born in the town of Ala Ghiri alongside others of the J Tribe, J'olhmyn grew up with the local inns and merchants catering to the occupation force, and was no stranger to the cruelties of imperial soldiers. Such experiences fostered a desire to join those fighting her oppressors, and on her eighteenth nameday, she broke ties with her mother and fled her home. Her explanation she left in a letter: she would enlist with the Resistance. Now twenty-three summers old and a soldier in her own right, J'olhmyn would form a bond with Alpa, an Ananta battlemaiden also stationed at Rhalgr's Reach—a bond which deepened as they worked to repurpose Castellum Velodyna, and overcome the differences between their peoples.
