“Deals unaspected damage with a potency of 50.
Additional Effect: Restores MP— In-game description
Blood Drain is an action unlocked at level 1. It is available for Blue Mage.
Flavor Text
Through the draining of blood, this spell saps a foe's aether, a portion of which is then absorbed by the caster. In nature, such habits first appeared in creatures such as bats and chigoes, who naturalists theorize developed the ability to absorb nutrients via blood over the course of centuries.

Tips
- Restores 500 MP, meaning it is a net gain of 400 MP.
- This is not a lot of MP. To keep a steady control of MP, Blue Mages should consider using Blood Drain at about half MP, in conjunction with frequent usage of Lucid Dreaming.
- If there are at least 3 targets, Divination Rune (restores 200 MP per target hit) will restore an equal or greater amount of MP while also dealing more total damage.
Acquisition Tips
While not recommended, it can be obtained in the sidequest Occupational Hazards after interacting with the "Strange Shadow" during the quest to spawn the Chigoe.[1]
