Higanbana is an action unlocked. It is available for Samurai.

Notes

  • This weaponskill consumes all Sen, and requires 1 Sen in order to be used.
  • Damage over time potency is 45 prior to learning Way of the Samurai III.
  • The damage over time effect should always be applied on bosses. The high-end exceptions to this are if:
    • Executing this action will not grant an extra use of Shoha within a fight timeline;
    • Executing this action loses a usage of Midare Setsugekka (and thus another use of Kaeshi: Setsugekka) within a fight timeline;
    • A fight has frequent periods of downtime where a large portion of the damage over time is lost – similarly, if the boss is defeated before a large portion of the damage over time can be dealt – while not allowing another usage of Shoha.

Trivia

Higanbana (彼岸花) is the Japanese name for Lycoris radiata, or the Red Spider Lily. It is a poisonous flower (hence the in-game ability dealing damage over time) that blooms during late summer and early autumn, and is often planted on graves and used in funerals as a tribute to the dead in Japan.
