Content with her life at a boarding school in the capital of Garlemald, Alma’s world was thrown into disarray when an unexpected visit from her brother turned into a ten-thousand-malm journey that would end in indefinite exile from the land she called home. Victim to her father’s whims, Alma played the obedient daughter, adapting to life on the airship better than anyone could expect, given the circumstances. However, when her father failed to return from a dangerous expedition into the ruins of Rabanastre, Alma could remain silent no longer. She reached out to her father’s acquaintance, Cid Garlond, and a foreign reporter stationed in Kugane, to help put an end to the madness which had claimed her family. Unlike her ambitious father or her controlling brother, Alma maintains an air of rationality that belies her age of fifteen years.
