Kornago Gourd

A Kornago Gourd is an item that allows a Beastmaster to forge a pact with a beast without engaging in combat with the desired beast.

Kornago Merchant in Central Shroud sells kornago gourds for reward items obtained from the Crucible of the Unbroken. Players must complete certain beastmaster job quests to unlock more of the inventory.

Kornago gourds serve a similar purpose as Whalaqee Totems for blue mage. However, unlike Whalaqee totems, all beasts (except for the starter Cu Sith) can be alternatively obtained from the wild, whereas most Whalaqee totem spells are totem-only. Kornago gourds are primarily an alternative to capturing beasts from instanced dungeons, trials, and raids, which can be useful for solo players who do not wish to form a party for high-level duties.
