Description

In times of yore, there existed a nomadic people who believed that, in times of want, a gigantic goby would appear in their dreams to herald the coming of plenty. It is from this tradition that the dream goby derives its name.

Strategy

Go to Upper Soot Creek between 5pm and 3am Eorzean Time. While the section that is directly east of Black Brush Station is the most easily accessible section of the river, the fishable area covers a large section in the center of the map.
Dream Goby will only bite on Crayfish Ball bait. (It will bite on Versatile Lure very rarely, but Crayfish Balls will have a higher bite rate.)
Using Surface Slap on any ! fish will exclude that fish from being caught, which increases your odds of hooking the Dream Goby.
Using Modest Lure will slightly increase your odds as well, since this is a weak-jawed fish. (However, weak-jawed fish are already considerably more likely to bite here, so this is not particularly effective.)
