Pilus prior of the IVth Imperial Legion, Lyon faithfully served two generations of Gabranth legatuses-first the father, Basch, with whom he shared a homeland in Landis, and also the son, Noah. Having, known the latter as an infant, he often forwent protocol and referred to his commander as his "dear boy," Regardless of what bonds they may have shared, it would not stay Lyon's hand after blame for their defeat in Bozja was laid at his feet. After escaping, from prison, he tracked down Gabranth and murdered him in the dead of night, setting his room ablaze before fleeing with an unnamed accomplice. Authorities have failed to track him down, though he was sighted turning Sicinius mal Vellutus, a similarly wanted man, over to the Dalmascans. The present whereabouts—not to mention the motivations—of this near seventy-year-old man remain a mystery.
