Life of the Dragon is a trait unlocked by questing at level 70. It is available for Dragoon.

Notes
- The effect of Blood of the Dragon, granted by
Geirskogul, that is upgraded by this skill shares the same name as retired and removed 
Blood of the Dragon trait. The later was removed in patch 7.0 - Both Blood of the Dragon and Life of the Dragon are special condition/status effects that are tracked only by Job Gauge. There is no status icon for them, and there is no log entry for them in Battle Log.
- The Job Gauge will glow blue while under effect of Blood of the Dragon. And it will glow red while under effect of Life of the Dragon.
History
Patch 7.1 (2024-11-12): Stacks of Nastrond Ready granted has been reduced from 3 to 1.- Patch 7.0 (2024-07-02): The effects of this action have been completely revamped.
Patch 6.0 (2021-12-07):
- Deleted the execution requirement "while under the effect of Blood of the Dragon."
- Life of the Dragon no longer reverts to Blood of the Dragon when duration expires.
- Mirage Dive must successfully hit a target to count.
- A fixed duration of 20 seconds has been added. Previously the duration would have been the current time remaining on Blood of the Dragon plus 10 seconds.
Patch 5.0 (2019-07-02): Required gaze of the first brood has been reduced from 3 to 2 units.
Patch 4.1 (2017-10-10): Now states the Dragon Gauge only requires 3 units to receive the Life of the Dragon status after using Geirskogul.- Patch 4.0 (2017-06-20): Added.
