A Hingan artisan of fifty and one years. The preeminent smith in Suenokuni, he was summoned to Kugane by the lord of Clan Buhen himself to serve as chief swordsmith at Kokajiya. The very image of the stern, stoic craftsman, he forgives not the slightest flaw or compromise in his own work, nor that of his apprentices. So steadfast is he in his beliefs that he refused to take on Sekka as an apprentice, suppressing his genuine joy at seeing her passion for the family trade. Though he would never admit it, deep down he is a doting father who was quick to find an excuse to travel across the world to Limsa to check up on his dear daughter. A man of modest tastes, his refreshment of choice is a simple ball of rice with a single pickled plum presses into the center.
