A member of the Facet of Fishing, this seasoned fisher has helped feed the Crystarium for many of his fifty-two summers, and it was this very familiarity with providing food for the masses that caused Mervyl to clash with Frithrik when the younger man suggested changing their methods. Though at first unwilling to even entertain that the proposed dietary adjustments might benefit people like his ailing daughter, Hurielle, his better nature won out in the end.
