— In-game description
Steps
- Speak with Bertliana at Porta Praetoria.
- Find Bertliana and slay raw-boned minotaurs.
- Speak with Bertliana.
- Speak with Wichard.
Journal
- Bertliana is well rested and raring to go.
- Eager to reach Ala Mhigo, Bertliana bids the group resume their march towards the city-state. You agree to rendezvous with them in the Lochs.
- The group's march is halted by Janyn, who states that she has received word there are imperial informants trying to flee to Ala Mhigo disguised as refugees. However, all misunderstandings are cleared when she recognizes you, the hero of the revolution. You continue your advance in the direction of the High Bank.
- The party are set upon by minotaurs, who prove little match for your might.
- Bertliana rallies her compatriots and they head for the Ala Mhigan Quarter hoping to find Wichard.
- Wichard welcomes you all to the city-state and promises the group will enjoy their new lives in Ala Mhigo. He hopes that as time passes, they will be able to begin trading with other nations, using Little Ala Mhigo as a go-between. Bertliana agrees that Wichard's idea is worth pursuing and thanks you for all your help.
Dialogue
Accepting the Quest
Bertliana: I think that is enough rest for now. Our next destination is the Lochs via Castrum Abania. Bertliana: From there it will take hardly any time at all to reach Ala Mhigo. Come on, everyone!
Optional
Overeager Swordsman: What can I say to convince you that we simply wish to go home!?
Janyn: I've received word there are imperial informants trying to flee disguised as refugees. I can't let you pass unless you show me something which proves your identity.
Speaking with Bertliana at Porta Praetoria
Bertliana: We have come from Little Ala Mhigo hoping to help our fellow Ala Mhigans rebuild our homeland. Please, let us through.
Janyn: Sorry to say I can't let you pass without something that proves you are not an imperial informant. Janyn: [Forename]! Why didn't you say something sooner? Janyn: Of course you may pass. My sincerest apologies! Janyn: I'm truly sorry for stopping you, but we have all been on high alert ever since we received word of these informants. I hope you are able to forgive me. Janyn: Take care on your journey. Ala Mhigo is close, but there are still plenty of creatures between here and there that seek to do you harm.
Bertliana: Thank you for warning us and do not worry about the misunderstanding. Bertliana: I have lost count of the number of times you have helped us now. Right, everyone, let us resume our march towards home.
(Optional) Overeager Swordsman: Phew, they were tough.
Speaking with Bertliana
Bertliana: That Alliance soldier was right to warn us. That was a bit too close for comfort. Bertliana: Ala Mhigo is in our sights now. Once we reach the city we must find Gundobald's nephew, Wichard!
Optional
Bertliana: We have made it at last. Thank you for your help, [Forename].
Overeager Swordsman: It has truly been too long.
Speaking with Wichard (Cutscene)
Overeager Swordsman: This is no illusion. We're truly back in Ala Mhigo!
Boisterous Boy: So this is Ala Mhigo? It's amazing!
Wichard: It truly warms my heart to see you have all made it here safely. I am Gundobald's nephew, Wichard. Thank you for all your help as well, [Forename].
Bertliana: It is an honor to finally make your acquaintance, Wichard. My name is Bertliana. Your uncle tasked me with leading the first group from Little Ala Mhigo. Bertliana: I was born and bred in Thanalan so this is my first time seeing Ala Mhigo. My parents often told me stories, but I never dreamed it would be quite so stunning.
Wichard: Welcome to the home of your ancestors! Wichard: I am sure some of you are still worried about leaving your old lives behind. Wichard: However, you need not fear. I swear on my uncle's life that you will enjoy living here.
Bertliana: Allow me to thank you once more on behalf of everyone, [Forename]. We would not be here were it not for your aid. Bertliana: I am forever in your debt.
Wichard: As you are aware, not much time has passed since our city was liberated. But I am confident that once we have begun to rebuild in earnest, we will be able to start trading with other nations. Wichard: It is my hope that Little Ala Mhigo will be willing to act as an intermediary for us.
Bertliana: That sounds like a fine idea! I am certain they will be more than glad to help.
