Sea Swallow

Also known by loch fishers as “blue angels,” it was most likely the similarity their billowing fin-like appendages have to birds’ wings that earned the salt swallows their name. There are some, however, who would have us believe it is another manner of “swallow” from which the name originates—these wavekin, it seems, cannot be bothered to chew their prey, and instead elect to devour their meals whole.
