A familiar in the form of a grimoire fashioned by Sari, a master summoner in the latter years of the Allagan Empire. The art of summoning is something of a contradiction—developed to counter the primals, it is doomed to die out with them, as without primals, new egi cannot be harnessed. So it was that this sentient encyclopedia of summoning knowledge was created to pass down the art to posterity. After being unearthed by the Sons of Saint Coinach, Principia was handed over to Y’mhitra, the foremost researcher in the field. Upon encountering an adventurer who was the preeminent summoner of this era, it sought to impart ancient secrets, unwittingly triggering a fierce battle with fearsome remnants of the past.
