Appearing to be dragons, these creatures were in fact heretics transformed by the secret properties of dragon blood. Others still became syrictae and aevis, and their stationing en masse at the Stone Vigil was likely a Dravanian ploy to have men defend their own fortress. These minions, however, had no answer to another man-made creation—airships—and they yielded to the Ishgardians a critical foothold within the Vigil.
