Acquisition Tips

Sabotender Gaurdia will spawn during the last phase of the fight against The Sunken Temple of Qarn (Hard), Sabotender Emperatriz (the 2nd boss of the dungeon). Once a diamond shaped barrier appears around the boss, the spell has been cast.

Other Tips

You cannot cast this spell on yourself, only on others.
- When you are mimicking a tank with Aetheric Mimicry, Cactguard can be useful in mitigating damage from mechanics targeting a specific party member such as a tank buster on the main tank.
Regardless, this action is generally inferior to other blue mage mitigation spells and has very limited uses.
