Former Captain of the Royal Dalmascan Fusiliers, Ba'Gamnan and his elite unit of Bangaa were charged with the protection of the crown prince and princess. When Rasler and Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca were slain during the Garlean Empire's assault on Nalbina Fortress, Ba'Gamnan blamed himself, and turned brigand, swearing revenge on those who wronged his king and country. It was this deep-seated hate that ultimately made him susceptible to the alluring whispers of the Duma and saw his transformation into the dragon Yiazmat.
