“Mark AEW-II. This weapon was designed by Valens after acquiring data for replacement parts from the XIVth Legion. It was never intended to be used in combat, but only to test a prototype of the synthetic auracite system, the rudimentary nature of the cockpit leaving the organic core exposed. Valens presented the machina to the imperial court, whereby he was gifted with a surfeit of resources to continue his research. This boon allowed him to officially embark upon his quest to usher in the next generation of Garlean dominance.
