This Berube skipper—a breed of amaro from a region long since lost to the Flood—may be the last of its kind. Gifted with the power of speech and longing for its former life among people, Skip made its way to Lakeland only to fall victim to the poison of poachers. The veterinarian Bethric nursed the deathly ill amaro back to health, and Skip has since come to roost in the Crystarium's Rookery where it acts as an intermediary between the stable hands and their livestock.
