Journal

  • Ketenramm wishes to discuss the next phase of the expedition.
  • You share the scouts' report with Ketenramm, revealing that the Tower of Blood is accessible during the right climatic conditions. While unwilling to commit the expedition's resources to exploring the tower, he nonetheless gives tacit approval to your own potential forays within. For his part, the veteran seafarer has turned his attentions to the next stage of the expedition, and bids you return to Tuliyollal and inform the messenger of progress thus far.
  • Back at High Tide Harbor, the messenger is delighted to hear the crew remain safe, despite being stranded. Progress report complete, all that remains is to await news of Ketenramm's ingress into the north horn and the resumption of your adventures upon the Occult Crescent...

Dialogue

Optional Dialogue

Archive: As you unravel this mystery, the seal upon my knowledge steadily crumbles. It is an odd connection we share, but a connection nonetheless.

Accepting the Quest (cutscene)

Ketenramm: That's all well an' good, but we're already set on followin' the Archive's hunch, focusin' on its counterpart on the north horn...
Ketenramm: Besides, I'm reluctant to send the crew to investigate─there's no tellin' what's inside.
Ketenramm: That said, I won't get in yer way if ye've a mind to satisfy yer curiosity.
Ketenramm: Well, with the village an' base camp secure, now's as good a time as any to regroup and plot our next move.
Ketenramm: Of course, the fact remains: we're trapped on this rock for the foreseeable future. I for one won't consider this a success until the whole crew is back in Tuliyollal, drinkin' their fill at Xbalyav Ty'e.
Ketenramm: We're yet to uncover the architect's true identity, and I'm still curious as to why we haven't encountered any survivors... Aye, we've a ways to go on the mystery solvin' front...
Ketenramm: In the meantime, I want you to travel back to Tuliyollal and give a progress report to the expedition messenger.
Ketenramm: I'll get word to you as soon as we establish a route to the north horn. Until then, take care of yerself, my friend.

Optional Dialogue

Archive: Beckoned here as you were, you're the only one free to leave. The rest of us are bound by the ward.
Ketenramm: Tap into that aetherial current by the harbor and seek out our messenger in Tuliyollal. He'll be keen to hear how we're farin'.
Ofangeim: Gettin' marooned is naught but a matter of course in this line of work. When ye get back to Tuliyollal, ye can tell the messenger we're doin' just fine.

Speak with the expedition messenger at High Tide Harbor

Expedition Messenger: As I live and breathe, you made it back!
Expedition Messenger: But what of old Ketenramm and the rest of the crew?
Expedition Messenger: So they're stuck there... Heavens, the island sounds more perilous than Shades' Triangle!
Expedition Messenger: At least you've been able to establish a foothold. Anyhow, I imagine you'll want to rest up and recover your energies for what's to come. I shan't keep you any longer!

Optional Dialogue

Expedition Messenger: Confounded by a shifting mirage, only to find yourselves trapped when you did make landfall... Clearly Shades' Triangle deserves its fearsome reputation!
Expedition Messenger: Still, I'm glad to hear the crew is safe. If there's any news, they'll get word to me via one of the relay vessels─you're free to do as you please in the meantime.
Ketenramm: We're lookin' for a route through to the north of the isle, but with an expeditionary force this large, the logistics aren't always straightforward. At any rate, I'll get word to ye once we've got a new base camp established.
Archive: Save for the second Forked Tower, I haven't the faintest clue what lies on the north horn─a state of ignorance no doubt caused by that vexatious seal. For the time being we shall have to wait for Ketenramm and his crew to make headway.
