Lore

"Welcome to Mebryde's Meyhane! Please make yourself comfortable."

Mehryde, a Hyuran woman of forty summers, was once a server in the very meyhane she now owns. Local legend has it that she settled a vehement disagreement with the former proprietor by means of a drinking contest, all the while cheered by a roomful of regulars, and as a result won the deed to the establishment. The meyhane's reputation has only improved since, even receiving orders from the palace to provide food and dancers for the benefit of visiting dignitaries. It should have been a disastrous place to be when the Final Days struck the city, but as fortune would have it, the beasts which spawned here seemed intent on finding their way outside. Mehryde spoke soothing words to her patrons and huddled with her terrified workers, which in hindsight likely prevented an awful situation from becoming infinitely worse.
