Though he was employed as a record keeper in the Capitol at Amaurot, Kleon's true passion was concept creation. Anxious to learn the status of his newest, roundest specimen, the batrachoi, he journeyed to Elpis on his own, and in his eagerness to refine his craft heeded every suggestion given to him by the observers at the facility. He claimed that if the batrachoi was approved by the Bureau of the Architect, he would create some manner of pet, suitable for the amusement of children.
