When Ying-Yang spawns, one of its heads will be asleep. During the day, Ying, the left head, will be asleep. During the night, Yang, the right head will be asleep instead. Which head is awake determines the effects of the monster's Sadistic Attack and Ravening Shadow abilities, and is indicated both by a buff on their health bar (
Sleeping Dark for day and 
Sleeping Light for night), as well as the head in question being visibly asleep and emitting bubbles. These two attacks do not have ground AoE indicators and will inflict a stack of 
Vulnerability Up to anyone hit.
- Bloodburst: Unavoidable magic damage to all nearby players.
- Dark: Places a small circle AoE below a random player, three times in a row.
- Sadistic Attack: Ying-Yang's waking head swipes its respective arm, dealing damage in a 180 arc on that side of the twins' body. Dodge by moving to the side with the sleeping (bubbly) head.
- Ravening Shadow
- When Yang is awake, the attack is a large ring AoE that leaves the inside of its hitbox safe.
