Steps
- Find the lost Gnath near Anyx Trine.
- Slay a Wyvern.
- Speak with the wandering Gnath.
- Speak with the astute Vath at Loth ast Vath.
- Report to the astute Vath.
Journal
- The astute Vath gazes out upon the Smoldering Wastes.
- The astute Vath has heard the voice of a lost Gnath. He asks you to find the owner of this voice. Start your search to the south of Anyx Trine.
- You have found a wandering Gnath, confused and disoriented. He seems distressed by the wyverns circling nearby. Slaying one of the beasts might help put his mind at ease.
- With the nearest wyvern dealt with, the wandering Gnath should have calmed down enough that you can hold a conversation with him.
- The wandering Gnath does not know where to go or what to do. You explain about Loth ast Vath and tell him to go there and meet with the other Gnath that lost the link to the Onemind. Rendezvous with him at Loth ast Vath and check on his integration into the Nonmind.
- The wandering Gnath is nowhere to be seen. You check with the astute Vath and discover that the wandering Gnath never made it to the Vath hive. The astute Vath seems to have a hunch, and suggests you search near Loth ast Gnath for the missing Gnath.
- You find the wandering Gnath traveling toward his old hive, single-mindedly intent on returning and resuming his work. Despite your best efforts, you are unable to dissuade the drone. Return to the astute Vath and explain the situation.
- You break the bad news to the astute Vath. He tells you that, as he had suspected, the Gnath's mental link to the Overmind had been reestablished. The poor creature is once again a drone of the Onemind. The astute Vath seems to harbor a gnawing fear that the same could one day happen to him, stripping him of all individuality and rendering him another mindless slave of the Overmind.
