Radiant Host
“The Radiant Host is a state-established military order under the satrap’s command. In keeping with Radz-at-Han’s neutral standing, its soldiers rarely deploy to foreign territories, their main duties being to patrol local lands and maintain order.
Since the Host’s inception, the men and women in its ranks have been proudly known as Radiants. The title was coined, it is believed, when Alzadaal Khan first made his alliance with the dragon. He gathered to him a cadre of skilled warriors, brilliant as the stars above, and bid them swear on their lives to serve the people of their nascent nation. Scholars familiar with tales of the first brood also point to Vrtra’s traditional association with the stars as a potential source for the name. The Radiant Host considers the dragon their patron deity, and their preference for armaments bearing designs of wing and fang symbolizes their deep bond with the wyrm of Thavnair.

The Radiant Host is the military force of Radz-at-Han, whose duties mainly consist of patrolling the city and Thavnair. Their soldiers are known as Radiants and they report to the satrap. Their barracks can be found at the Hall of the Radiant Host, while their training area is The Burning Field. Their weapon of choice is primarily jamadhars, though Estinien was recruited by Vrtra to train them in lancework[1].[2]
The high commander of the Radiant Host was Qulsun bihn Aphmau, before her untimely demise at the hands of blasphemies during the Final Days.[2]
