Quick Chat

Quick Chat is a communications method introduced in Patch 3.5 after standard chat features were disabled in The Feast. Quick Chat enables predefined, limited communication between teammates, replacing standard chat in small-scale competitive PvP matches such as Crystalline Conflict to reduce potential conflicts and violations of the Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement. Note that excessive use of certain Quick Chat phrases such as "Nice job!" during disadvantageous situations is considered "Taunting/abusive behavior" and may result in account sanctions if reported. [fn 1]

Players may use Quick Chat by assigning its actions to the hotbar like any other PvP Action. Quick Chat actions may be found in the Character menu ⟶ PvP Profile ⟶ Quick Chat section.

Quick Chat can only be used in Crystalline Conflict and is the sole communications method in standard and ranked matches. In custom matches, standard chat along with Quick Chat may be used. Quick Chat phrases are automatically translated despite the lack of Auto-Translator indicators.
