Pets

Pets are summonable creatures that assist the caster in combat. Pets are similar to companions but play more of a role in a classes ability to heal or dps.

Pets are no longer targetable as of patch 5.0 and the release of Shadowbringers. They can therefore no longer tank (the original function of Topaz/Titan).

Arcanist

  Summon Carbuncle "Summons Carbuncle to your side."
  Summon Ruby "Summons Ruby Carbuncle, and orders it to execute Glittering Ruby."
  Summon Topaz "Summons Topaz Carbuncle, and orders it to execute Glittering Topaz."
  Summon Emerald "Summons Emerald Carbuncle, and orders it to execute Glittering Emerald."

Scholar

Summon Eos "Summons the faerie Eos to fight at your side. When set to guard, automatically casts Embrace on party members who suffer damage."
Summon Seraph "Summons Seraph to fight at your side. When set to guard, automatically casts Seraphic Veil on party members who suffer damage."

Selene has been removed and turned into an Egi glamour.

Summoner

As of patch 6.0 and the release of Endwalker, Summoner pets are no longer really pets, but just visual accompaniments to spells cast by the summoner character themselves. This was done to bypass intractable programming issues with pets and the unreliability of actions used by them. This is also historically more in line with how the Summoner class has worked in other games in the franchise, where the summoned monster appears when the ability is cast and then leaves the battlefield afterwards.

Summon Bahamut "Enters Dreadwyrm Trance and summons Demi-Bahamut to fight your target. Demi-Bahamut will execute Wyrmwave automatically on the targets attacked by you after summoning."
Summon Phoenix "Enters Firebird Trance and summons Demi-Phoenix to fight by your side, which executes Everlasting Flight as it manifests."
