Paralysis is a detrimental Status effect. It randomly stuns the affected target briefly, preventing movement and interrupting any action in progress.
The duration of the debuff and frequency of the stuns depends on the source of Paralysis. For example, the Paralysis effect from failing certain mechanics in The Unending Coil of Bahamut (Ultimate) is especially long-lasting and has frequent stuns.
