Various services are available here, including upgrading to the full version of the game, adding game time, registering various types of codes, and purchasing additional services.

Mog Station

The Mog Station is a Square Enix Co., LTD owned and managed website allowing players of Final Fantasy XIV to manage their subscription(s), make additional game-related purchases, and view account related information. It includes multiple sections:

  • Service Account Dashboard
    • Subscription Renewal
    • Registration Codes
    • Games & Additional Services
    • Additional Paid Options
    • Others

Service Account Satatus

Players are able to view their Account type, subscription, days subscribed and Veteran Rewards rank in this section. This area also indicates whether or not a player used a recruitment code for their account as well as the number of accepted Recruit A Friend Campaign invitations have been accepted.

Heading Use
Subscription Renewal Players are able to pay for their subscription using a Credit Card, their Crysta Balance, or by a game time card.
Registration Codes Enter Item Code - Ability for players to redeem codes provided by external sources such as gifts or with other purchases.
Games & Additional Services Platforms, Expansions, Collectors Edition, World Transfer, and Character Renaming
Additional Paid Options Retainer Service/Companion App - Ability for players to purchase service of additional retainers in game for USD $2.00 per 30 days beyond that of the free 2 already provided during play.

Additional Services

FINAL FANTASY XIV offers several additional services to make adventuring in Eorzea more enjoyable and convenient. An announcement will be made on "The Lodestone" when new services are available.

Players are able to view their Account Status, subscriptions, and active characters in this section. This area also indicates whether or not a player used a recruitment code for their account as well as the number of accepted Recruit A Friend Campaign invitations have been accepted.

Heading Use
Additional Platforms Ability for players to add licenses for other game platforms - Playstation(R), Mac, PC.
Additional Expansions Ability for players to add licenses for the newest expansion.
Digital Upgrade Service By using this service, you will receive the in-game items included with the Collector's Edition. When the upgrade is complete, all characters under the selected service account will receive the items.
World Transfer If you find yourself unable to play with friends because they're on a different World, please consider a World Transfer.
Character Renaming Service Change the name of any given character associated with your service account. With this service, you can re-edit your character's name after logging into the game.

Barring certain exceptions, optional items cannot be sold or traded to other players.

While commonly and erroneously referred to as the "Mog Station" by players, the actual Optional Items site is separate and located at a different URL: Final Fantasy XIV Online Store

Players are able to purchase in-game enhancements using real money including cosmetic gear, orchestrion songs, cosmetic weapons, mounts, minions, and others. The vast majority of products are purely cosmetic in nature, with only Main Scenario Progression and Level Boosts impacting character power, and only as a means of "catching up" to current expansion content.

Type Description
Character Weapons and gear for character use.
Main Scenario Progression Ability to skip Main Scenario quests for a single character per player account.[1]
Level Boost Enter Item Code - Ability to skip Job Class quests for a single character per player account.[2]
Fantasia Vials allowing the player to change their character's appearance in any fashion you desire.
Mounts Transportation for characters.
Minions Ornamental, non-playable characters to travel with characters.
Eternal Bond Ability for 2 characters to participate in the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding.[3]
Seasonal (Unisex, Men's, Women's) Seasonal gear for character use.
Housing Decoration and customization for in-game housing.
Dyes Dye used for recoloring gear, housing items, and other dye-able items.
Emotes Additional actions for characters to perform.
Chocobo Barding Gear for Chocobo mounts.
Orchestrion Rolls Ability to play music in character housing.
