Flavor Text

To fully replicate this technique, beloved of Shiva, the blue mage calls forth a bow of aether from which she fires a hail of razor-sharp icicles. Those who knew the lady Ysayle believe that Glass Dance may have taken form from her memories of observing hunters in Tailfeather.

Acquisition Tips

  • This spell, along with   Feather Rain, are the two spells that can only be acquired from extreme-difficulty content. If recruiting a full party of players and completing the extreme trial synced proves to be difficult, one can acquire the spell at level 70+ soloing unsynced. The drop rate is not guaranteed unsynced, however, so multiple attempts are likely needed.
  • Shiva casts Glass Dance after bringing out her bow late in the fight. After her add phase, burn her to 10% or so and wait for her to say "Arrows of frost--", perform the bow-drawing animation, and actually cast Glass Dance. It's possible to kill her before she gets the cast off it you're unsynced, solo, and 70--so be careful! Additionally, make sure to get behind her as she readies the bow, to avoid being hit by the attack.

Other Tips

  • Shares a recast timer with   Veil of the Whorl.
  • The damage-to-cooldown ratio of this action is low, compared to Blue Mage's other off-GCD actions. Therefore, it is common to drop this spell to make room in a spell loadout.
