Dialogue
After completing Glory Incarnate
Deep Blue: W-Well, if it ain't the unenhanced grand champion himself. We're not up to no good, if that's what you're thinking. We were just about to tour the city, as a matter of fact─with safety foremost in our minds. Deep Blue: Say, er, no hard feelings about the gym, I hope? It was the president who told us to wreck the place, so we could psych you up for the fight. I took no enjoyment out of it. Deep Blue: He'd revealed the whole truth to us earlier on, y'see, so I couldn't help but worry this lout would give the whole thing up with that big mouth of his.
Lore
Deep Blue was left an orphan at a young age. He was unable to tell if it was because his parents had died, his regulator removing his memory of them, or if he had simply forgotten them. This uncertainty would turn Deep Blue into a violent individual, one who lashed out at the slightest frustration and wreaked havoc when doing so.[1]
Deep Blue's ambition was to become a hunter, felling fiends wandering the Thunderyards. However, due to his violent nature and emotional instability, he was instead offered employment in sanitation. In anger, Deep Blue assaulted a government worker and fled the pursuit of sentries on an airwheeler, starting his love of thrill seeking and reputation as a troublemaker.[1]
Deep Blue met Red Hot when they were both Airwheeler trick riders. The two shared an intense rivarly and friendship that culminated in Red Hot defeating Deep Blue and ending his career as a trick rider. The two moved on to surfing together as a team afterwards.[1]
Deep Blue's partnership with Red Hot in the wavepools was put in jeopardy due to Red Hot's dangerous surfing stunts. This same recklessness ultimately led to them being recruited by the Arcadion as fighters.[1]
