Journal

  • Ty'at Roh has a nervous look on his face.
  • Ty'at Roh wonders aloud at the cause of the other hunters' absence before Rral Vaw himself appears in quite the distressed state. He informs you that blue, flower-like beasts have been spotted heading towards Iq Br'aax and recruits you both to hunt them down in lieu of a trial. You and Ty'at Roh are to head south to slay any blue-flowered beasts you see and investigate the source of this invasion.
    • ※Please note that the difficulty of this quest has been synced to your current level.
  • You move south until you find Ty'at Roh standing before the corpse of one of the fiends, who the would-be hunter felled as they crept forth from the Ja Tiika Heartland. A few escaped during the struggle, and Ty'at Roh bids you to follow them before they can go any further.
  • While the beasts are indeed unusual in appearance, they fall before you like all the rest. Return to Ty'at Roh, both to check on his safety and inform him that the nearby threat has been quelled.
  • Ty'at Roh appears to have had no further encounters with the strange creatures, and says that a search of the area revealed no more threats. The hunter suggests you return to Iq Br'aax to inform Rral Vaw of your success.
  • With the beasts driven from Iq Br'aax, Rral Vaw declares your hunt over. Although Ty'at Roh regrets that he had to rely upon you for help, the older hunter stresses that none can protect the forest alone, and welcomes the young Xbr'aal into the Brethren of Br'aax. Relieved to have passed his trial, Ty'at Roh looks forward to making his dreams come true as a full-fledged hunter.

Dialogue

Accepting the quest (cutscene)

Ty'at Roh: Where are they...? Is this part of the trial? Oh, this isn't good...
Ty'at Roh: Maybe we're supposed to hunt one of the animals around here? But if I'm wrong, and the others come while we're gone...
Rugged Voice: Ty'at Roh!
Ty'at Roh: Rral Vaw!? Y-You're alone? I thought the trial was─
Rral Vaw: Plans have changed! Beasts not native to these parts were sighted to the south! They look like walking blue flowers, but they have the appetites of a predator!
Rral Vaw: We must track them down and stop them before any of our own come to harm. Help us do that, and the Brethren of Br'aax will welcome you with open arms!
Rral Vaw: I take it you're here to act as Ty'at Roh's partner. If even the Third Promise deemed you a worthy ally, then I'd be glad to have you along on this hunt!
Rral Vaw: My partner and I will go after the beasts headed toward the village. You two head south and try to find out where these blue-flowered beasts are coming from─and if you run into any, slay them then and there!
Ty'at Roh: Consider it done! May your quarry fall swiftly!
Ty'at Roh: Come with me, Forename!

Speak with Ty'at Roh

Ty'at Roh: I got one... But they just kept pouring forth from the Ja Tiika Heartland!
Ty'at Roh: A few got away and fled deeper into the cinderfield─can you go after them? I'll stand watch over this area in case any more appear.

Optional Dialogue

Ty'at Roh: The other beasts fled deeper into the cinderfield. Go after them, Forename─I'll stay here in case any more emerge from the forest.

Speak with Ty'at Roh

Ty'at Roh: Forename! I knew you'd make quick work of those things!
Ty'at Roh: I searched the nearby area, and I think we took care of them all...for now.
Ty'at Roh: The other hunters should have made their way to the village by now, so let's catch up with them and give them the good tidings.

Speak with Ty'at Roh again (cutscene)

Ty'at Roh: Forename, you'll be glad to know that the beasts have been exterminated, and no one from the village was hurt.
Ty'at Roh: That's about as good as an outcome as we could've asked for!
Ty'at Roh: But as glad as I am, I still had to rely on you to finish what I started, even though it was a test of my skills. I don't know if I deserve to be part of the brethren...
Rral Vaw: Ah, but you're forgetting the most important rule of our brotherhood, Ty'at Roh.
Ty'at Roh: ...I am?
Rral Vaw: None must hunt alone. Why do you think this rule exists? And why do you think the trial is done in pairs?
Rral Vaw: The wild beasts of the forest fight with desperation to survive. In contending with such foes, even a single moment of carelessness can prove fatal. Any hunter who thinks they can protect the forest and its people alone won't live as a hunter for long.
Ty'at Roh: Y-You're right, Rral Vaw... How could I forget? I still have so much to learn...
Rral Vaw: That you do, but this all started when you realized you needed Forename's help. And for that, you should be commended.
Rral Vaw: For that choice led to the eradication of the flowered beasts from our home and allowed us to locate their source. You followed my orders most admirably, and I look forward to seeing how you perform on your next duty.
Ty'at Roh: Does that mean...?
Rral Vaw: From this moment forward, you are one of the Brethren of Br'aax. We are brothers, and I will forge you into a hunter we can all rely upon.
Ty'at Roh: I won't disappoint you!
Rral Vaw: As for you, Forename, I'm sorry you got dragged into our crisis. But considering our homes are safe and I now have a new brother, I'm grateful for your presence.
Ty'at Roh: Thank you for agreeing to be my partner, Forename! As a full-fledged hunter, I'm ready to make all my dreams a reality. Just you watch!
Rral Vaw: Your work starts now, Ty'at Roh. Come with me!
Ty'at Roh: Of course! Well, Forename, I suppose this is good-bye for now. I hope to see you around Iq Br'aax again!
