- Dark II: The boss will face a random player and use a late telegraphed 90 degree frontal conal AoE.
- Summon: Spawns two untargetable Jesting Jackanapes adds for the next mechanic.
- Mind Blast: Fingers reach into your mind, drawing you towards an element most enchanting... Party-wide magical damage and gives each player either a 10-second Playing with Fire or Playing with Ice debuff. One add will be marked with fire, while the other will be marked with ice. Both adds will then spawn a point-blank AoE telegraph (Blizzard Trap or Fire Trap). When the initial debuffs expire, players will be inflicted with a 5-second Seduced debuff along with a Pyromania or Cryomania corresponding to their initial elemental debuff, causing them to move towards the closest add matching their element until the debuffs expire. Players must position far away from their target add to prevent walking into their AoE. Using movement speed-increasing actions such as Sprint may cause players to walk into the AoE regardless of their starting distance.
- This mechanic can be trivialized with
Phantom Berserker. When using Rage, the player will be immune to the mind control debuffs inflicted by Mind Blast cast. If the player is inflicted with these debuffs, they can also use Rage to prevent the forced movement effect.

- Summon (version 2): The boss spawns five untargetable Tentacles at random locations of the arena for the next mechanic. The location they are facing will be denoted with yellow arrows.
- Recharge: The boss tethers three tentacles, causing them to enlarge. Each tentacle will then use Wallop, a late telegraphed frontal line AoE, with the larger tentacles using larger AoEs. Players can locate an area that is not directly in front of any tentacles to dodge.
- Void Thunder III: Telegraphed magical tankbuster.
- Summon + Mind Blast (version 3): Now spawns four Jesting Jackanapes and gives each player an elemental debuff. Two adds will be fire, while the other two are ice. Each add will use Surprise Attack, each spawning two sequential line AoE telegraphs indicating where they will charge to. Players will need to determine the final positions of their target adds and move away from them. Adds of the same element will always end up adjacent to each other.
- While players are mind controlled, the boss will Summon more tentacles, functioning as before.
- Arcane Blast: Party-wide magical damage.
- Summon (version 4): The boss spawns five tentacles at the wall, each of which will use Wallop. Move between any two tentacles at the wall to avoid.
