Qitarl Natl is the chieftain of his tribe. When a way opened to the Greatwood's south, he formed the Qitari Stewards with wife Qhoterl Pasol and son Chaqurl Qhotl, and together they commenced excavation work at Hopl's Stopple. In the prime of a Qitari's life at fourteen summers, he has already known both sweet victory and bitter failure—experience which helps him refrain from romanticizing history.
