Journal
- Shunye brightens up more than usual at your arrival to his apothecary.
- Shunye consults with you and Uvlo, and together you decide that the best course of action would be to journey to Mamook and ask its residents if they have seen a stone resembling the Azure Tears. He asks you and Uvlo to depart at once and speak with the Mamool Ja of Mamook.
- You and Uvlo meet at the gates of Mamook, and while the Viera is eager to talk to anyone in sight, you advise a more discerning approach. Uvlo agrees to follow behind you while you speak with the Mamool Ja, and will offer his own input only when necessary.
- ※You must be accompanied by Uvlo to complete this task. Speak with him again should you become separated.
- The residents of Mamook either seem to know nothing of the stone you seek or have no interest in discussing it. Uvlo suggests changing your approach and asking if there is anyone who might be knowledgeable of the region's rarer types of stones and plants. Armed with a new strategy, you and Uvlo go back into Mamook's streets to question its citizens.
- By taking a new tack with your questioning, you learn the name Gosaal Ja, grandson of a former Mamool Ja scout who was known for his collection of rare plants and rocks. The younger Mamool Ja works at Golmajiik Grove─go there and ask if he knows anything that may lead you in the right direction.
- Gosaal Ja recalls the exploits of his grandfather fondly, saying that he found a stone much like you described during a scouting mission through the waters of Iq Rrax Tsoly. Unfortunately, the stone was lost long ago, so it falls upon you to visit the location and search for another specimen in that crimson cenote.
- Uvlo gazes wistfully at the waters of Iq Rrax Tsoly before admitting that he does not know how to swim. He asks that you dive into the cenote and search for crystalline fragments that resemble the Azure Tears.
- You deliver the fragment you found in the cenote to Uvlo, and he appears certain that it is the same as the ones Shunye brought back from his village. The Viera leaves for Tuliyollal with haste, and bids you follow.
- You deliver the blue fragment to Shunye, and he begins analyzing it at once. It is not long until he confirms that its properties match those of the Azure Tears exactly, and the apothecary concludes that it is composed of melted earth and crystallized aether formed after a meteorite impact. This revelation allows him to come to terms with his loss, and he ponders what will be in store for the next chapter of his life. Speak with Shunye again to bring this long journey to a close.
- Shunye expresses his gratitude to both you and Uvlo for solving this long-standing mystery. He ponders resuming the traditional journey of male Shetona, and Uvlo is most eager to join him. However, Shunye is loath to abandon his dear shop and the customers it serves, and decides to stay in Tuliyollal until he can no longer deny nature's beckoning. In the meanwhile, he and Uvlo with be there for whatsoever you may need, and will surely have cause to call upon your services once again.
