13th Order Alchemist Ga ZiAn overdweller? My boss Zo Ga doesn't take kindly to strangers sneaking around his personal property, nuh-uh, nuh-uh. Yunz'll want to leave quickly, before we have an accident—a mishap, a misfortune, an accident, that sort of thing.
18-ponze CannonNot technically an NPC. It's an object you interact with, but it has a green name like other NPC's.
2PIf we can't unlock it, we'll need to break it down.
789th Order Acolyte Ba GoYou return, yes, yes, you do. You would have words with Ba Go and his beauties?
789th Order Craftsman Bo GuThe 789th is known for sloth and sluggardy, yes. But Bo Gu is different—unique, distinctive, different. The others are incapable of work. Bo Gu could work, but chooses not to. See? Not the same. No, no, not at all.
789th Order Dustman Bo BuLazy? I resent that remark—object, reject, resent. Bo Bu simply believes that the measure of a kobold is not the number of shin yrocks in his pocket, but in his courage. Yes, courage and conviction! Y-You don't think Zo Ga heard me just now, do you? No, no? Phew...
789th Order Pickman Gi GuHave you noticed, overdweller? Changes have come to the 789th Order Dig—transformations, alterations, changes! Yes, yes, many changes at the dig. Firstly, nap time has been cut from four hours to three. Secondly, all pickmen must at least think about picking up their pickaxe once a day. Thirdly... <yawn> Ah but Gi Gu must see to important business. Overdweller will return in three hours, yes?
A Treatise On RunesThe fae races such as the Nu Mou and the pixies wield their unique type of spellcraft through the use of runes.

Each rune represents a letter while harboring a meaning all its own, and together they form the foundation of fae magicks. Below is a list of some popular runes, which oft find use in fae names.

Sigun: the sun, or light; Ul: the moon, or darkness; Oul: the land, or earth; Eo: a star, or a lesser light; Feo: a treasure, or wealth.
A'aba Tia"The Antecedent made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Said that if I joined, I'd get to fight against the primals and the imperials both to my heart's content." A Seeker of the Sun, A'aba was an adventurer of such great renown that each of the Grand Companies made entreaties to have him join their ranks. However, he accepted Minfilia's overtures because he was drawn to the freedom the Scions offered. Though victorious in battle with the Amalj'aa, he died at the age of thirty-five, bravely defending Arenvald during the Garlean attack on the Waking Sands.
A'anuhanuThank you for your efforts to bring the reeds back to life. If not for you and yours, we Hanu would be as limp and lifeless as they once were!
A'brohkaCap'n Rhoswen's led the Sanguine Sirens to the top o' the food chain 'ere in Limsa. Ye want to join the meanest crew on the sea, then ye'd best bloody yer cutlass an' thicken yer 'ide.
A-Ruhn-Senna"Hmph! If it isn't my sister's favorite adventurer. Come to show me up, have you? Well, you can march right back and tell Sister that I am doing just fine. I am only...ungh...resting."
A-Towa-CantA-Towa-Cant's Padjali nature manifested soon after birth, and his proud Gridanian family willingly entrusted his upbringing to the conjurers of Stillglade Fane. A-Towa grew to become an accomplished Hearer, but soon grew dissatisfied with the role—he came to realize that to truly protect the Twelveswood he must cleanse the source of impurities beyond the confines of the forest.Accompanied by his devout companions, A-Towa traveled far and wide, employing his mastery of white magic to purge corrupted aether, heal the sick, and salve the suffering. Ever consumed by wanderlust, the restless Padjal never returned to Gridania, and eventually met his end in the distant lands of La Noscea.

Healer's Attire: A raiment reserved for the rite of Quieting. Bestowed by the holy hands of Raya-O-Senna herself, this garb has been imbued with the blessings of A-Towa-Cant by means of a stately pilgrimage to three of his resting places.

Thyrus: The great staff of House Cant, passed down through the family line for generations. Carved from a log of petrified wood, this mighty relic accompanied A-Towa-Cant on his final journey and was long thought lost along with its wielder.
AarnerI began to feel ill from the alcohol, so I thought to come out here for fresh air...and now the brightness of the sky has given me a piercing headache. Why must fate be so cruel to me in particular?
AbakaBeyond these doors is the throne room of our most radiant brother Magnai. You are to approach him with the utmost respect.
Abandoned Golem<rumble> <rumble>
AbbelinaWelcome to the Gold Saucer, honored guest. There's no end to the wonders within these halls - pray don't be shy about partaking in them!
AbdhiThe merchants are smiling, which is the sign I've been waiting for. It means that all of us─the weavers, the sailors, the dockworkers─will soon have plenty of work to do.
Abelie"You have done well to brave the frozen wilderness, adventurer. Stay awhile and be warm."
Abused AdventurerYou! You must do something about that besotted brute! He's out of control! There's a good reason they call him Spenser of the Bottomless Cup. I don't believe the sot's been sober a day in his life. And now he's taken a fancy to pounding in the faces of any poor sod who happens to even breathe in his direction... myself included. I beg you, put the pissed tosspot in his place!
Accompanying NaturalistMy life's work has been the study of minerals. Why, you might even say I “mine” them for secrets, heh heheh...heh... Forgive me, sir, I'm a bit nervous. It's my first time out in the field.
Accomplished AdventurerThis character is later identified as Bluomwyda.
AcotIt is a tremendous honor, miss, and that is no exaggeration. I don't know if you realize, but you were instrumental in bringing stability and prosperity to so, so many lives...
AdalbertaIt's not easy, managing a boisterous bunch of lads and lasses who'd sooner drain a tankard than swing a pickaxe, but I give it my best. Adalberta was eight when the Garlean Empire occupied Ala Mhigo, and fled to Ul'dah as a refugee. Her role model has always been her father, a Highlander of humble beginnings who became a miner to support his daughter before dying in a cave-in. Now twenty-eight, Adalberta has become guildmaster, and it is said she focuses her energies upon training new miners for but one reason: so that they might develop enough skill with the pick and hammer to never be beholden to, nor exploited by, another.
AdalfunsThey say they reopened operations in the Nanawa Mines to meet a voracious demand for raw materials—not surprising with all the rebuilding going on since the Calamity. Me? I'm just glad the mines brought enough coin into the area to let Roger set up shop...and give me somewhere to stow my backside and drink while I avoid the unpleasantness of hard labor. Heh heh.
Adalhard<nowiki>You know who Mother Miounne is, <style data-mw-deduplicate="TemplateStyles:r1208365">.mw-parser-output .alternatives__alternative{text-decoration:dotted underline}</style>brother/sister? You'd do well to take her advice to heart. There's some as say she's overbearing, but without her, we adventurers wouldn't be able to get by here in the Black Shroud. I myself owe her much and more.</nowiki>
Adelard"There've been more and more people come to Ul'dah since the Calamity. The hammers are pounding the ground solid so as to make it fit for new homes for the rich. I hear they're having trouble securing some tracts, though. Whoever's job that is, I don't envy them."
Adelena"I like to think that the fire in my heart burns as strongly as anyone else's. But when I behold the might of the Garleans, I can't help but be struck dumb."
AdelstanNature tends towards stability and order, and for ages this balance of forces was maintained.

Yet, as you can see, the Calamity destroyed that delicate balance and severely weakened the land. The taint of corruption is even visible in some places.

Snakemolt is one such location. Ever since the ruins were exposed five years ago, countless beasts have seen fit to make it their home. With such scars still fresh, I fear the forest will not completely recover for a long, long time...
Adkiragh"Hmph, your concern is wholly misguided. Why would the proprietor of a wildly successful establishment such as mine have aught to worry about? Look into these eyes and tell me you see even a fleck of doubt!" Once poised to become Khan of his clan "the Adarkim", Adkiragh, after eight assassination attempts and four sham marriages, decided to leave the Steppe without saying a word. He opened a tavern in Idyllshire and called it "The Hard Place".
Adoring FanHey, it's the light-heavyweight champion! I knew you were amazing, but even I didn't think you would be able to take down Wicked Thunder. You truly are unstoppable!
I only wish I had been able to watch the match in person. It's a shame there weren't any seats, but I was cheering you on from afar!
Gosh, now I can hardly wait to see how you perform in the cruiserweight division!
AdrienWell, Dour, I'd say it's as diverse a field as I've seen on the bloodsands. In addition to everyone's favorite gladiators and your friendly neighborhood Sultansworn, we have an Ishgardian knight as well as an acclaimed adventurer. Coliseum columnist for The Mythril Eye.
AelinaI'm Aelina, an' I work for Rowena. My dream's to one day trade places with that harridan an' work her as she does me─like a pack chocobo.
Aenc DaenOh, what fools you mortals be! Your minds as soft as mallow, upon which you whet the instruments of your own violent demise!
Aenor"Oh my. Decisions, decisions..." An archer of the Midlander clan, Aenor traveled the realm with her younger sister Clemence until a chance meeting with a strapping young Roegadyn named Ocher Boulder. It was love at first sight, and following a convincing argument by Aenor on the benefits of joining forces, the pair have worked together since. Though she has hopes of starting a family, her heart is somewhat fickle, and it is unclear whether the twenty-eight-year-old can make her dreams a reality.
AergmhusHeartfelt reunions with stalwart companions! Brings a...brings a bloody tear to the eye!
AethelstanHeading to the south? Not much out there but rocks and deadwood. I can't imagine why anyone would want to travel that way. I suppose you adventurers would consider that godsforsaken wasteland the perfect place to test your survival skills or some such.
AethelthrythChocobos are as smart as they are sensitive. If you train them with love and care, they'll reward you with their undying loyalty.
Affable LocalGuests are always welcome in Treno. I hope you're enjoying your time here!
Affable TownsdwarfAye? What can I do for you, lass?
Affable Yok HuyWe owe you a debt we can never repay, [Forename]. Without your help, I can't imagine what the valley would look like now.
AfumiThe past holds no power over us. What you are is what you do now and ever after. Such is the way of the Confederacy.
Aged Amaro TamerPlaces to go, people to see? There's no better way to travel than by one of our amaro.
AgetaAgh, all this labor is not helping my poor old back. Husband of Honami
Aggrieved Nu MouWhat's this? Are the amaro so cowed that they send a mortal to speak for them? Hmph, no matter. You will have my account and I will have justice.
Agitated AdventurerUgh, no one ever told me that adventuring was so tedious. And my feet hurt! And I'm hungry...
Agitated ManLord Vauthry... We hear...we obey... Aaahhh!
AgnysI had no idea that the Platinum Mirage was such an exclusive establishment. That they can afford to turn away wealthy individuals like myself speaks volumes.
Agora MerchantThanks in part to our dealings with Rowena's House of Splendors, we've procured a simply stupendous array of rare articles and fine goods - all available in exchange for Allagan tomestones and other curios!
