The arena is surrounded by an AoE that will instantly kill anyone who steps in it. Players should observe the birds on the outside the arena as they will be used as the reference point for many of the boss's attacks.
- Squash: Telegraphed physical tankbuster.
- Lightning Crossing: Telegraphed conal AoEs hitting either the cardinals or intercardinals relative to the boss.
- Heave: The boss faces a bird that moves near it and uses a late telegraphed frontal conal AoE.
- Agitated Groan: Party-wide magical damage and causes the birds to chatter loudly, as indicated by the system message The chattering of the birds reaches a fever pitch....
- Rushing Rumble: Neo Garula turns its rage toward the chattering voices... The boss will spawn Lightning Crossing telegraphs under it and charge towards a bird with a red exclamation mark. The charge itself is an untelegraphed line AoE that will damage anyone in its path. Once it reaches its destination, it will use a massive late telegraphed point-blank AoE (Rumble) and Lightning Crossing will resolve at its new location. Rumble can be avoided entirely using the
Phantom Geomancer action 
Suspend, which can be helpful for melee uptime. - Agitated Groan: Similar as before, but the bird with an exclamation mark will now be moving. The boss will charge at it, who will move away (going left or right). The boss will then aim Heave at its new location.
- Lightning Charge: Spawns three circle AoE telegraphs in the middle of the arena, followed by six additional AoE telegraphs at the sides. At the same time the first set resolves, the boss will use Lightning Crossing and spawn a proximity AoE telegraph (Mammoth Bolt) at the north or south, dealing magical damage. This proximity AoE has a large falloff, so move far way. The boss will finish with another Lightning Crossing.
- Rushing Rumble Rampage: Similar to Rushing Rumble, but used three times in a row. Each time the boss finishes a charge, a different bird will receive an exclamation mark and become the next target.
